(vasep.com.vn) Total aquaculture production of Ho Chi Minh City in November 2015 was estimated at 7603.8 MT, up 14.4% yoy. In particular, farmed seafood was 5165.8 MT, up 16% yoy and caught seafood was 2,438 MT, up 11% yoy.

 For the whole 11 months of 2015, seafood production was 48,019.8 MT, up 4.1% year on year. Aquaculture output increased by 7.6% to 31,985.9 MT. Fish production was 5,914.8 MT, up 13.4%. Clam production was 72.7 MT, equivalent to 4 times of the result last year. Meanwhile, seafood caught fell by 2.4% to 16,033.9 MT.

As of 10th November 2015, there were 163.6 million shrimp seeded on an area of 3,235.5 hectares.
